If I ever have $2000 burning a hole in my pocket and a long weekend ahead of me...I'll be booking a flight on last minute. The cheapest tickets are generally for flights that take off within the next week.
For example, leaving LAX to London Thursday through Monday, airfare and hilton-type hotel included, $1300. Yes please!
